  1. Strange indeed. I have no issue with using the blade it came with but still.....I would've preferred that they left it alone.
  2. Well, after all that work of cutting extensions, I did my first initial cut and the blade came right against the rubber splinter guard without cutting it as if it was already done at the factory. The cut in the work material was directly underneath the rubber edge. Anyone else have this already done for them on their new tracks?
  3. I guess I should've done a search on this. Found some info here:
  4. Good morning. Was just setting up my 55 inch track to do the initial cut of the rubber splinter guard and found the saw to wobble until the back guide entered the track. I ended up cutting 2 extensions for the entry and exit to get the rubber cut without any wobbling. I brad nailed them down to the work material. Before doing the initial cut, I've seen some posts on adjusting the toe in of the blade. Is the front of the blade suppose to contact the work material a bit more than the back? Have many of you Makita track saw users bothered even checking it before using? There are 4 adjusting screws under the base. Not sure if that should be a concern or not before using.
  5. Looks like I found my answer here. https://www.routerforums.com/threads/dewalt-618-adjustment-ring-sticking.146106/
  6. Just started using my 3 base kit today. I found that, with the router resting in its base, the height adjustment ring barely budges unless I give the router a bit of lift with my other hand. Does one need to lightly spray the router housing to get the ring to lift and lower the router as it should?
  7. Is it the same model in my link? Did you purchase the optional 1/4 collet for it?
  8. I’m a newbie here. Just purchased this tool included in the Makita Drywall Combo Kit. https://www.makita.ca/index2.php?event=tool&id=1355&from=accessory I cant find much info on uses beyond drywall. It can take an optional 1/4 collet. With the proper bit, wouldn’t one be able to use this Cutout Tool with ceramic tile, etc, as with a Rotozip?
