[How to align a brand new Metabo KGSV 72 XACT SYM]

I have contacted Metabo support and they said it is an production error. They asked where I purchased it, I sent them the warranty and receipt, so we will see what happens now.

My brand new $750 Metabo mitre saw is completely out of alignment.  Are you supposed to align the thing yourself before using it ?? There is no info in the manual. 

Does anyone know how to fix this ?  I would like to avoid sending it back as I bough it online and I stupidly threw away the packaging before I noticed the problem.

 

I have looked for alignment screws but cannot figure it out.  The only bolt I see is the one  in the upper/middle of the photo, but that's just the center for the base rotation.

 

 

The misalignment is in the upper body's attachment to the base. If I press the handle to the left while cutting the cuts are improving .
