  1. Hello everyone, I thought this was a cool little project, so I figured I'd share. Full disclaimer I'm a noob. I work as a residential electrician and really dont mess with dc to much. I was changing out a an led flood light for a ring flood and decided to use the flood bulbs from that. I had an old 18v charger and 2ah battery. I soldered leads to the positive and negative on the chargers circuit board. I added a voltage stabilizer (not really sure if I needed this hopefully someone can explain) I than added a dc dimmer. On full bright and my god is it bright it last about 20 minutes lol. If I tone down about 1/2 way it will last about 2 hours before dimming off. Thats with a 2ah battery. Also the charger still works just like normal. I have ran the lights while plugged in it seemed to work just fine. I'm not really sure what could go wrong doing that. That's my project I remind all of you I'm an amateur just a hobby. Thanks for checking it out.
