  1. Greetings,. Just purchased a DeWalt drill plus impact driver combo. The DCD771 drill does not do the clicking thing when tightening a bit. It just makes a big clunk towards the end of tightening as if something is passing over a big detent. Is this thing defective or is the problem cause by something simple? Thanks, Mike
  2. Thanks for the reply. I did notice that independent parts websites have the trigger switch in stock. As I stated the drill is not under warranty.
  3. Did you leave it in an unheated place without draining it last winter?
  4. Greetings, I have a DeWalt DC936 hammer drill drill driver. I recently discovered that there is a safety recall on the drill. Seems as though the power trigger switch can fail and cause a fire. Girl at local service center said she never heard of the recall and doubted that DeWalt would fix it because of age and possibly not having the parts plus it's no longer under warranty. I told her I didn't think the fact that it was no longer under warranty meant anything since it's a safety issue/recall. She made a call to DeWalt and the guy at their office said he never heard of the recall either but to send them the drill and they would look into it. The drill works fine. My question is what should I expect especially if they don't have the parts?
