Thanks, Eric. I don't think it has that, but I'll check. Also thinking that since I'm not as young as I used to be, maybe I'm just not able to pull hard enough. Eventually it does start, but my arm is pretty sore by that time.

new Ryobi 16 inch gas chain saw is very difficult to start. Cord does not pull out very easily. It comes out in jerks. Any ideas?
