  1. Ok, good to know I was not going crazy. I ended up taking it back because of this. The change makes it more difficult to remove smaller bits one handed because when you try to release it, it does not eject it a little past the locking ball. So now you need two hands, one to awkwardly try and hold the drill by the collar as you pull it forward, and another to try and pull the bit out. Such a pain in the ass.
  2. I recently purchased a 2406-20 drill with the hex quick release chuck. Watching reviews shows the collar snaps back and holds the bit tight when a bit is inserted. When sliding the collar forward it releases the bit, pushing it out slightly for a one handed insert and removal. What I got however was a collar that is always sprung back against the drill and two hands are needed for insert and removal, as well as the bit has axial slop when in the drill. I took a bit to home depot today and tested some other milwaukee chucks and they all did the same thing. Is this normal? Have they made a change to the chucks?
