  1. Not sure why u didn’t mention the extension cable or transformer in the start,anyway,no problem,glad it’s sorted,have fun with it
  2. If you’re confident enough,pull the back of the motor off and make sure that the brake winding isn’t burnt,if the wiring was incorrect you may have cooked it
  3. Was the machine working when u got it ? If it was doing the same thing had the switch just been replaced ? The motors have a winding for a brake to slow them down quickly when you turn them off,could your wiring be wrong ? Causing it to overload and trip the reset ?
  4. With the 887 slow/fast intermittently is usually either a bad contact on the 3 position switch at the bottom which u can rectify with some crc and just working the switch a bit OR the winding in the motor is burnt and it’s only a matter of time before it will just cease to work at all. Just be aware removing the screws on any tools will void any warranty you have so if it hasn’t expired,don’t do it
