  1. I have a DeWalt 5HP 80 Gal Two stage compressor that I just put into service. Model #DXCMV5048055. I am used to hearing the unloader valve hiss and bleed air out when a compressor stops. This compressor blows air from the unloader valve when it is pumping air into the tank. It doesn't wait till the tank is full and the compressor shuts off. It starts out slowly releasing air at the unloader valve and increases in volume as the tank fills. When the tank is almost full the released air volume slows down and stops releasing air right before the compressor shuts down. There is no unloader valve hiss when the compressor shuts off. I'm wondering if this is a correct function of this compressor? The unit works fine. I am just not used to having a compressor work like this. Does anyone have any knowledge of the way this unloader valve is working?
