    I have cordless tools charger that run on 120v which I plan to take to Africa. I plan to set up a solar panel with a DC/AC inverter. I don't need a battery, as I will be charging the batteries in the day. Question: can I bypass the battery and hook the inverter directly to the PV?

    I would like to charge my cordless tools directly from solar panels using an inverter and bypassing the battery bank. I intend to use the Ryobi commercial charger. Do I need a charge controller?
