  1. I cannot say specifically but if that old and 12V more than likely either NiCad or NiMh batteries. If you can't find a specific charger any more you could probably make an adapter using any 12v charger for that type battery. Those are not as critical regarding charging as are lithium batteries. Maybe even just put #12 wires with clips to use as a portable corded drill connected to car battery! LOL
  2. I have a Ryobi P271 who's chuck locked up with a bit in it. Only way I could get it our was to physically cut the rubber grip portion of chuck off and use a pair of channel locks. So now it works except I always need channel locks to use the chuck. I hate key less chucks for this reason and would like to replace it with a decent key type steel chuck. Problem is no where can I find info to tell me what the thread size is on any Ryobi drill? Must be a national security issue. 😗 Has anyone done this? Does anyone know what thread size this drill uses?
