I have a pretty standard 18v Bosch Drill. It wasn't gripping drill bits anymore (probably my fault) so I bought a new chuck to replace the existing one. I followed all the instructions to remove the old chuck but no amount of whacking with a club hammer would release the old chuck. Now I've gone and gotten the chuck stuck wide open somehow. How can I go about getting this old chuck removed? I'm quite happy to destroy the old chuck but I'm worried that if I do that then I'll find myself in a position where I can't get any leverage on the leftover bits of the old chuck.
