  1. Haven’t been here in a minute. Here’s my haul over the holiday season. All Craftsman V20 tools. 18ga Brad Nailer 23ga Pin Nailer Brushless Jigsaw Starett Angle Finder Next on the list is gonna be the new High Torque Impact Wrench.
  2. Baltic Birch is the standard for best Plywood. Eucalyptus plywood comes in next.
  3. Skilsaw Worm Drive Saws have always been considered Pro Level. It’s the standard by which all other circulars are measured.
  4. Flex has been an awesome performer so far, but the company is really pushing hard for the Pro crowd with a limited number of offerings. It’s gonna be a while before Flex and Milwaukee are mentioned in the same breath professionally. For the average Joe……Flex is definitely what could be next. Then it just becomes a matter of budget. If I wasn’t already heavily invested in another platform. It would be between Flex and Kobalt XTR for my DIY dollar.
  5. Lowes sale enticed me to buy another V20 tool for my Craftsman collection. I spent $99 dollars on the 18ga Brad nailer which is just a Porter Cable in red. This thing is pretty damn good though. Been playing with it to see how it needs to be positioned for work and it is a capable tool. Makes me think the 23ga pin nailer should be my next pick up. Not sure if I want the 16ga nailer, but I’ll consider the 21 degree framer once it comes down in price.
  6. Wondering how much more engine innovation is gonna happen with a lot of states pushing to eliminate gas lawn care equipment?
  7. I stopped waiting on this and just bought the corded Bauer one from Harbor Freight. This should be out sometime next year. The Bauer one seems to be a clone of a Makita.
  8. Rockler has one too...... https://www.rockler.com/lift-up-table-mechanism
  9. Lee valley is a respected company. You can find cheaper items on Amazon. So it's really up to how much you want to pay for an off brand. https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/hardware/mechanisms/table/74446-pop-up-table-mechanism?item=12K9511&utm_source=free_google_shopping&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=shopping_feed&gclid=CjwKCAjw2f-VBhAsEiwAO4lNeIz61RFmZWTKAeisLnOyEvcAKNB7GHAGOcC5vojYgPqHFC069EtdmBoCpQEQAvD_BwE
  10. Some workers use Zero clearance tape..... https://www.amazon.com/FastCap-Zero-Clearance-Tape-Strips/dp/B07C68GTVK
  11. The front of my house may look weirder now, but gong solar was one of the best decisions I ever made. Even paying the lease option, my electric bill is smaller than pre solar bills. $600/700 dollar bills are now down to $200/300ish including the lease payment of $150.
  12. The thumbnail is clickbait to get you to watch the video. Do those items exist? Probably. Are they officially licensed by Milwaukee? No. I've see a Glock painted up to look like a Nintendo Zapper gun.
  13. Well if by old you mean NiCad batteries, then yes. Most current major brands have established a battery form factors that have remained unchanged for years. I'd consider the power tool market fairly stable right now. Battery tech is changing, but most brands now actively make sure everything is backwards compatible if it's not a completely new tool launch. It is fair to say though that sometimes, some brands fall out of favor and are phased out as bigger companies buy out smaller ones. It's the nature of the beast.
  14. Honestly, any brand will get the job done. If your going for strictly home use, I'd recommend Ryobi. They seem to cater most of their products to home owners. Ryobi also tends to be easier on the wallet on a day to day basis excluding any sales. About the only drawback to Ryobi is how their battery looks, but most non trades people look past it if it gets the job done. My second choice with a ton of options and better quality would be Makita.
  15. I used a brushless grinder to redo my garage doors. Outside of the constant battery swaps, it got the job done.
