  1. Cheers. I'm having a look for blades locally and finding a compatible 150mm blade that cuts through metal isn't easy it seems. Out of curiosity does the blade size have to match exactly? This seems to suggest that you can use a very slightly different sized blade: https://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/168732/can-i-use-larger-smaller-circular-saw-blades-on-my-circular-plunge-table-m
  2. Hi again, I bought this circular saw 6-7 months ago. It works fine for cutting wood, but was just wondering if you know if it's possible to buy a metal-cutting blade for it? If Ryobi doesn't do one themselves, do you know if i could fit another brand's 150mm circular blade on it? Basically i could do with a metal-cutting blade attachment as some wood i cut has nails in and it isn't always ideal cutting around them or discarding the wood. Cheers.
  3. Hi guys, I purchased a Ryobi R18PD3 combi drill 6 or 7 months ago and it's been great for what i need. I use it for simple DIY jobs and this summer i've been using it to make wooden planters for my allotment, so drilling into pallet wood basically. But in the last month the chuck has blocked twice. The last time it happened it felt quite overheated. I'd probably finished one 2ah battery and was into another by about 10 minutes. I wouldn't call that excessive use. I sprayed inside the chuck with some WD40 and forced the chuck out, as i'd seen done in a YouTube video. But i've noticed the chuck isn't quite as tight as it was. The drill bit has fallen out a couple of times and i've had to tighten it. Doesn't fill me with confidence that the drill will last for years. Anybody else had these issues with overheating and/or the chuck getting stuck? Was i right in oiling the chuck and forcing it open? Cheers for any advice.
