Anyone familiar with rebuilding rechageable batteries? Looking for methods or any helpful recommendations

If you look into it Milwaukee has the most patents (for size) than any other PT manufacturer, That speaks volumes to me.

Got the18V kits from www.battrx.com and put them together. Didn't go with the NiMH. Easy enough if you take your time and I can really see the difference. Run time seems to be forever. but the others were on their last legs.

the 18650's have to read about 3.7V or you would not have an 18V tool. 5X3.7 is about 18V while 5X 1.4 is 7V.Doesn't add up.

Probably because every cycle is different and a blanket guarantee would be the proverbial can of worms.

Lithium does not like cold,heat and dampness. Probably why it has not completely shut out nickel.

It really depends on the clout the store has with the supplier. Ridgid certainly could walk from HD but Emerson who owns Ridgid calls the shots.

I watched the video.Seems to be the a lot easier and safer. Just ordered a couple 18V DeWalt kits.

I worked 25 years for a company (Ridgid) that made tools for both Sears and HD and know for a fact that the warranty is kicked back to the manufacturer. The only thing they may do now is the paperwork.

I got a set from www.battrx.com easy enough and much more powerful than the originals.

I ran into some difficulties while repairing my makita and dewalt power tools. I sent my batteries out to be fixed but was not satisfied with the company I used. Since then I have been researching how to rebuild them myself. I think I have found a reputable company that does not use soldering. I ordered my kits a few days ago I will post my review shortly!
