  1. I am looking to upgrade from my Black and Decker 20V drills to something a little more robust. One of the reasons is that I am planning to use it on an Ice auger for ice fishing next winter. I understand you need something with a minimum of 500 in lbs or torque and brushless. One of the brands recommended was Ridgid. I like the LSA that comes with them when purchased at HD. So, I was researching them and see several options but these are the two that stand out: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Gen5X-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-1-2-in-Brushless-Compact-Drill-Driver-Kit-with-
  2. Just how much wobble is normal on a ridgid impact driver? I have the gen5x brushless and just recently took it out of the box. Here's some footage. Bit is around 2.5 in. 3. RIDGID introduces the GEN5X Jobsite Radio with Bluetooth Wireless Technology. This radio comes with great features to help you rock out on the jobsite. The RIDGID Radio App is what separates this radio from the competition. The Radio App keeps and changes preset stations, controls bass and treble settings, checks RIDGID battery life, records preset voice alarms, and more. If I didn't already own their last radio, I'd get this one. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Jobsite-Radio-with-Bluetooth-Wireless-Technology-R84087/206892707

    18v Compressor?

Too late. One is in the backseat as I type this. Picked up the Gen5X vacuum too to qualify for another starter kit.
  5. Ridgid has a new fan coming out with their gen5x lineup. runs battery or extension cord (no converter needed) and evidently they are available in some regions and not others at this time. I checked zip codes for central Texas (one of the hotter states) and it isn't available, but checked new jersey and washington state and sure enough they are on the shelves. C'mon Ridgid, I need a fan in my garage like yesterday. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Hybrid-Fan-Tool-Only-R860720B/205907844
  6. I can't seem to find the battery sizes in AH for this kit. Anyone have a secret source to find this info? http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Cordless-Combo-Kit-6-Piece-R9625N/300342949
  7. I don't know when the release date was, but it's on the website. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-Brushless-18-Volt-3-in-x-18-in-Cordless-Belt-Sander-R86065B/300716202
  8. Have you had a chance to use the brushless version? Wavering between this gen5x brushed vs the brushless kit that does not have the reciprocating saw... not sure I would need one.
  9. I have a charger like that that came with the stealth force, I use the bigger charger that come with the gen5x kit Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. They have the stealth force under the gen5x label, but it's all stealthy about it... Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I got a chance to use my Stealth Force Gen5X today and absolutely love it.
  12. I just won a 5 Piece Ridgid Gen-5 cordless tool kit. This: http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Combo-Kit-5-Piece-R9652/205883898 Now, I don't know what to think. I am beside myself with glee for the win, yet with my wife beside me, I can't help but wonder how I will convince her that I need more M18 Fuel tools.
