I agree Maxfit or the Makita golds are the good easy to find stuff. Dont snub out Wiha and Wera or Felo bits  thou.  :)

Definitely, the Europeans make fantastic bits.

For what it's worth, the Makita golds are the only bits sold at HD/Lowe's that aren't made in China.

I've been using the Makita golds for sometime and they hold up well. Shame this country can't produce a comparable bit.

Apex and Zephyr supposedly make really good bits, I haven't tried them because the minimum order is a little high for testing bits. I think it's $50 minimum order and $8-$10 shipping. I've found some on eBay but haven't bit on any yet.

I have a few Apex brand bits that are probably 20 years old. We used them in military.

That's a good thing(among many) about the military that can help us, they only use USA tools...so there will always be a supply of surplus USA tools and there will always be a supplier we can get them from.

Some on the forum may have Zephyr bits too because I believe they're the OEM for Snap-On

Don't use Bosch spades in your impact, it will destroy the self feeding tip.

I meant to comment in the video but I was distracted by the drill...you should probably contact Bosch over that, they are labeled on the packaging as impact bits. Maybe they'll replace it for you.

Really, I'll have to shoot them an email
