Also the product description from Dewalt:

Optimised for larger drill bits, the XR FLEXVOLT SDS Plus Hammer Drill is the fastest cordless drilling machine in the 18-30mm range – making it ideal to install anchors on commercial jobsites.

The powerful Brushless motor and advanced hammer mechanism deliver a formidable 3.5J of impact energy, and the 9.0AH battery pack will drill 66 fixing holes in cast concrete (18 x 80mm).

The 54V Hammer Drill also features integrated dust extraction for added cord free convenience.

I´m in the USA at least 3x per year

West Palm Beach, Fl.

next time is 7. October

flying to US our suitcases are always empty;

once price is known (and it will be higher than in US) I can bring along

release in Europe is September 2016

now all we need to know in this forum when approx.release date is in US

financially it makes sense to wait for release date cause cheaper, but does not make much sense if release is only 2017

cheers

Interesting proposition, like I said price dependent...but I'm down if reasonable. West Palm isn't that far.

Would a U.S repair centre touch a European model though. Kind of the reason I never try purchase from America or Canada. Warranty doesn't carry over.

I think it's dependent on the company. A while back I purchased the Festool HKC55 from Axeminster. I couldn't find the tool in the warranty register and contacted them about it. They had me enter the SN# for the tool under the cordless TSC55 to bypass the tool registry but I was told they would honor warranty on the tool. I think it all depends on what company you are purchasing from?

clear statement from Dewalt Europe (also in writing and posted)

US tools are NOT warranted in Europe !

US tools have UL stamp

for warranty the tool is required to have a CE stamp

(CE would also include tools from South Africa , UAE (Dubai)

2)

now EU tools CE marked in USA not sure !!

.... pretty much depends on service center

and I know Service Centers in USA have a great customer satisfaction policy

all my CE marked tools (but it was very few) were repaired at no cost

cheers
