PutnamEco
I find the locking pliers in this set particularly interesting. From Amazon.com
PutnamEco
Figures, the minute I post the next page in my search turns up just the locking pliers. The Facom T5.L from http://www.oll-tools.com/
PutnamEco
Looks like Facom re-brands their auto locking pliers from C.H. Hanson as well. I wonder if the T5s are re-branded as well, and if they are, who is it that manufactures them.
Conductor562
If I'm not mistaken Hanson is owned by Erwin now. Well, whoever owns Erwin own Hanson also.

Conductor562
Hmmm.......Thought I read somewhere that Irwin and Hanson were owned by the same parent company. Guess I was mistaken.
Conductor562
I have a magnetic stub finder from C.H. Hanson and it's by far my favorite.

Hanson do have some interesting products. Their auto adjusting locking pliers are on my list. It is to bad they choose to make so many of their products in China. Conductor562
I think a lot of manufacturing will shift back to The States eventually. Maybe not today, maybe not in our lifetime, but someday.
PutnamEco
I think a lot of manufacturing will shift back to The States eventually. Maybe not today, maybe not in our lifetime, but someday.Only after our own shortsightedness has run its course, and either Americans become willing to work for Chinese wages or the Chinese raise their standard of living to ours. PutnamEco
I'm leaning more toward the Chinese standards raising.I wouldn't hold my breath, I keep hearing about them wanting to lower or abolish the minimum wage, outlaw unions, and cut Social Security etc., and with all the people out of work. Conductor562
There isn't much positive to be found right now. That much is certain.
PutnamEco
There isn't much positive to be found right now. That much is certain. The OWS movement could have been something if they had clearer goals and more support. Until the will of the people gels into something it will be business as usual.
