wildroamer
Also, make sure you are only powering on the drill after bit hits wood. Don't allow it to needlessly chew up the walls of the jig.
comp56
Dipping or lightly coating your kreg bit in bees wax once in awhile will also help with sliding through the jig and cutting the wood.....

olletsocmit
I really want the larger kit with the clamp seems like it be much much nicer in the Jager also is solid metal where the drillbit goes. Seems like I could do a lot more with the clamp one instead of the R3. Both would be ideal does anybody have the are three XL it's the one made for 2 x 4's and larger that really looks handy
olletsocmit
Clamps... so i need another one that is bigger then the little guy the R3 came with. what do you guys there would be better and more utilized... the reason i am asking is b/c i have a coupon that Lowe's honors that takes 50% off a single item. 6" clamp, this one seem to be the most widly used one, but i could be wrong: This one looks great, but only for after the holes are drilled, right? So would need 2 just to utilize this one? or the 8" bar, seems to be not too small and not to big...
comp56
I say the first one you posted, reason being as you can angle it to fit most boards because the jig needs to be at edge
comp56
I also use one of these as well more often than i thought I would... but again that is after the holes are drilled...

Logan
Those are really nice but if you are willing to spend a little more the porter cable pocket hole jig I think is a lot nicer
