Also I see a Milwaukee box in the back ha

Haha good eyes - I got the Milwaukee box for my new M18 polisher. Going to cut a piece of styraphoam and place the polisher on top.

So if there is a 16g straight and a 16g angled finish nailer available, when would you ever really use a straight?  I know why you use an angled, but other than cheaper nails, are there any advantages to straight?

Ok fine. Be that way. Make me spend even more on tools. I don't have a 15g finish nailer yet...

Actually Milwaukee has both 16 and a 15 gauge angled finish nailers.

The 16g angled is the 2742 and the 15g is the 2743.
