I need help to dissamble my chuck, it's a Jacobs 500 series keyless single  sleeve chuck. I managed to get the bottom plastic off, but thats about it. What do I do next?

The Jacobs website was no help at all:-

http://www.jacobschuck.com/keyless-precision-chuck-repair-guide

I found this instructables to be usefull:-

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Disassemble-A-Keyless-Drill-Chuck/step3/Remove-Upper-Housing/

But its not a makita chuck and the similarity ends at step 3.

My chuck loosen after 30 seconds of use no matter how hard I tighten it.The repair centre only offered to change to a new chuck for USD30, no repairs, So I thought why not see what inside of it. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, change it to new chuck. Inside you will find dirt or broken jaws gears. 30 USD for chuck? For that price you can get good metal chuck. Your chuck is 1/2" and it takes 13 mm max width.
