Why are Wera Robertson drivers different colors while Phillips, flat, nut, torx, hex etc are all green series 300?

It has to do with the Robertson color scheme (color referring to tip size) that old man Robertson came up with. I think Wera added a second contrasting color to it because of the two component handle. I have never completely understood it myself. Look under Robertson head for more info.

Stupid Canadian, had to make things different. Makes total sense though, and I'm a bit embarrassed I didn't think to google that haha. Thanks much KC.

To think, the world could have been spared the horrors of Phillips screws if Robertson was a savvier businessman lol. Who knew Henry Ford was a good horse to bet on :P

Interesting topic. The strength of fasteners was shit back then. Phillips being designed to cam-out so as not to destroy the fastener was pretty smart for the time. Why we have freaking stayed with Phillips after fasteners strength improvement is the big question.

PS I would never bet on a Ford.

I don't even use Kingsford charcoal, even though I must admit it was a great use of waste product.
