I am forgoing the two slab tops and today opted to joint, plane and rip ten 2x4 for lamination to make a 3”top.... I am flying by the seat of my pants but just got notified Chris gets another 3-5 weeks off because my stupid gallbladder opted to stop working and I have to have surgery on that thing! More shop time right? So thank God, that’s all it is!!! I made a simple lap jointed from for the bottom of this little arbor mY Wife and I got married under at my in laws home. They gave us the arbor and we wanted to move it to the front walkway. A beauty and the trench cutting went well though truthfully doing repetitive work reminds me I’m still not as strong as I was. It is a beaut This is the first time I’ve used the PDC. It did good, nothing strenuous so I cannot weigh in on an educated opinion but its comfortable to use and a lot lighter than it looks. Personally, I’ve got the Dewalt hammer that is pure unadulterated power. This guy seems to be pretty strong but more refined in use, its got a billion power modes for fine drilling. Today I got to do some yard work and put together my AWESOME Daddy’s present, a two person hammock. Then played some BF4 to losen up and then decided to go down to the cavern of destruction and add nearly four more feet to my wood shop. Thank God for the foresight to make my walls semi permanent. Hit the wall with my framer, knocked it lose. Slid it back four feet and flamma bamma schmama and I’ve got nearly four more feet of useable space. Used my Dewalt 692, yes...it is awesome. ChrisK Posted July 1, 2018 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2018 A little bit frustrating today. I bought a DWX726 rolling miter saw/planer stand. That’s right....planer stand. Well wouldn’t you go and figure my darn DW734 is too wide for the stand?!?!?! Anyways, I am building a small wooden base to attach to the DWX726 and then bolt the DW734 to the wood base so I can use the extensions....on another note, the stand is pretty sweet.
