Conductor562 Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 Just realized I hadn't shared this with everyone. As some of you know, my daughter was running the ATV MX Nationals Series this year. She spent all summer and about $20,000 (about half of it from sponsorships) running all over the eastern US, but as of October she is officially the National Champion in the Girls 8-13 90cc class. Still has 3 years of eligibility in her class as well, so she could put together a pretty good run. 18 Quote
Conductor562 Posted December 5, 2016 Author Report Posted December 5, 2016 Here are a couple of race pics. The first is from New York and I think the second one is from the Michigan race 10 Quote
Conductor562 Posted December 5, 2016 Author Report Posted December 5, 2016 We had her bike rebuilt after the season. She went with a different color scheme for next year. Hetrick Racing took here bike from 29 to 34 HP. She should really be tearing it up next year. Her bike also made the AMA Facebook page, which was pretty cool. 6 Quote

Conductor562 Posted December 6, 2016 Author Report Posted December 6, 2016 Thanks guys! She did awesome. She had enough of a points lead she could have skipped the last 2 races and still would have won. Not bad for her first year running Nationals 4 Quote

metaljunkie Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 AWESOME!!!! Love it when the little ones succeed in something they like doing. Be careful though, racing ATV's one day and before you know it she will be climbing in the drivers seat of a dragster or Winston cup car. Best of luck to her. Hope to see her on national tv in the future. 3 Quote

Nice, add about 10min to your trip and you'd land in Kenna where I grew up, lived on Stone Lick Rd. I miss it, though I'm sure it's much different now. I was last there in 2002. 1 Quote
BMack37 Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 Congratulations! I was wondering if your girl was still racing, I see she is and she's still doing damn well! 2 Quote

Next time im out that way I'll keep an eye out for Stone Lick Rd. 2 Quote

Mrs. Conductor commandeered my radio. I've taken it back to the garage multiple times, but she just takes it back. I even bought her a radio, but she likes mine better ? 1 Quote

KnarlyCarl Posted December 13, 2016 Report Posted December 13, 2016 Just caught this, that's pretty slick, 90cc is small enough to put in the rear of a '98 Dodge grand caravan with the seats shoved all the way up and my 11 year old knees kissing the front seats from behind LOL $10k out of pocket for that, yeesh wow, hope she likes where this is headed!! Also, there must be a ton of Putnam Counties out there, that's where i live, in Ohio tho, haha Quote

That bike, if you bought one stock and built it part by part, would cost around $20,000 to build. We made that mistake when we started. However, you can buy a used bike after the season is over that needs very little work and has all the goodies for around $5,000. You may have to do some work to it, but it's still way less than building one yourself. Quote
