wayneburgess Posted October 30, 2012 Report Share Posted October 30, 2012 I have recently been doing some repair work on a house where the cellar got flooded.I uncovered a Dewalt 14v drill that was soaked through and had been for years as this area had been untouched for some time.I dried it out slowly and was amazed when both batteries took a charge and other than the chuck being solid and will not loosen,the drill works fine. wayneburgess Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 31, 2012 Certainly going to have a go at freeing it off and see how it goes like you say.The drill is not mine I found it under a pile of other water damaged stuff down there, but there is also a Dewalt planer down there drying out as we speak and will see if this can be saved as well.
