Dewalt DCT412S1 inspection camera

The monitor on my DCT412S1 Dewalt inspection camera no longer seems to work.

It keeps telling me to see manual for troubleshooting.

 

anyone else have this unit and experienced this problem? It powers on - shows the logo, lets me set the language and date and that's it.

It will never let me get to a video image despite pressing the camera button.

I have only used this unit 4 times.

 

Perhaps there is a trick to getting it past this part.
