ElwoodP
Hi, I have just bought a 2nd hand Dewalt recpricating saw (DC380). It came without blades so purchased these blades which say they are copatible with Dewalt: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0006JJR22/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It works and the blade is locked and won't come out however there is some vertical movement of the blade when fitted. Video here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3454522/saw.mp4 Is this normal? Is there something to tighten on the tool?
KnarlyCarl
You must be new to recip saws, i guess i take it for granted being raised around power tools and never giving it a thought, that motion is normal, and looks good.... Every single recip saw i've used does that, never thought twice about it, these are not precision machines, it will also have some slop in the shaft going into the body of the saw

Maybe very rough framing, clearing window sheathing, vent holes in the band, etc... Mostly a demo tool, but an indispensable one.
SetBuilder
That looks like a lot more play than my Milwaukee has
