FrosBros82
Does anyone have the Ridged 18v cordless heater? I just recently read a few reviews from Home Depot and most people seemed to like it a lot. Also, I guess I didn't realize that you can plug it in or run of propane? Or was I misinformed? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks, FB82
lunicy
I think you are confused.. Its a forced air heater. (most people around my AO call it a salamander). I has to have propane and a power source to work. The power source can be a battery or 120v cord.

I flipped a house this past winter where this would have came in handy. We had limited power because of the new electrical system. I don't have any Ridgid tools at the moment, but I have a feeling that is about to change.
Eric - TIA
I love that heater. Only used it a couple of times this winter. Its not going to heat a house but did great in my garage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My current garage isn't too big, so based the on the feedback I have here it looks well worth the investment. Thanks for the input. FrosBros82
l I had never even heard of Rigid until just a few years ago. Lots of plumbers had them at a hospital job I was working on. They all seemed to love them.
fm2176
Well, since I'm now invested in Ridgid for cooling (bought two fans today), I might just end up getting this for heating the mild southern winters.
FrosBros82
@fm2176 I hear you there. I am going to invest in one for sure. My garage gets miserably cold... so I think it would be worth the investment.
mackie252007
I bought mine a month ago and love it thus far! Use it at work in a 12 x 36 shed and also when the kids and I go skating! Great little heater love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
fm2176
Just picked one up this morning but need a tank for it. I have four propane tanks but I think they are in storage out of state. The hybrid feature sold me on this over the DeWalt my local Lowe's has.
