HiltiWpg
I've wanted to do this mini review for awhile. The PD5 often goes on sale super cheap, and I would strongly recommend it for anyone looking for a solid laser tape measure. The PD5 is very small and lightweight. It is very easy to store and carry. It is rated for 328ft (100m) and so far, it is as accurate as they claim. It's crazy fast and the target laser is very easy to see. The backlight doesn't wash out the display or hinder viewing at all. I've taken multiple readings and pointed this thing at angles, recesses and oddball ceilings and I have found it to be extremely accurate. Pros:LightweightCompact AccurateDurable carry-case Cons:Price (if not purchased on sale) Overall, this thing is a beast. By far, the nicest performance for the dollar. Certainly not the cheapest, but the accuracy is worth the extra $$. Accuracy: ±1/16 inMax. measuring distance: 328 ftData memory: 2 last measurementsIP protection: classIP 55 (IEC 529)Battery type: 2 x 1.5 V (AAA)Operation time with alkaline battery: 8000 measurementsOperating temperature range: -10 - 50 °CDimensions (LxWxH)6.5 x 1.3 x 0.8 inWeight with batteries: 0.2lb. BMack37
Nice review, that screen has great contrast! I like the white/blueish backlight, though I want to check out the dark with light colored text backlight measurers

I think if I were to try another negative display, I would wait for an OLED.Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

HiltiWpg
I like the white/blue backlight over a good standard LCD. Tried and true, no issues unless you get a crappy display to begin with.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HiltiWpg
Nice review, looks quite handy. But tbh Hilti is by far not the best brand in that field.Who said it was?No claim was made to that effect. It was a review. An old review.
