Moze
I'm also pretty happy with my Ryobi stuff. This was too good to pass up. 18v (not hybrid, unfortunately), 6 gallon, wet/dry, on-board storage of flex hose, rigid hose and attachments, great suction. Not bad for around $100 out the door...
DR99
I can't believe they didn't make it a hybrid, but I imagine they had to engineer to a price point.
Moze
Yeah, that surprised me as well but it doesn't bother me. The batteries are cheap enough, shouldn't miss the cord.

While I agree that it was probably designed to meet a price point, I'm sure some thought was given as to battery sales. People who buy this to use with those 1.5Ah batteries they got in a kit will be more likely to upgrade to larger packs, while those who like the design but who have no Ryobi tools will have to buy a battery and charger. Framer joe
Does it really have great suction @Moze ? Or just ok ....I have plenty ol 4ah batteries..there cheap as dirt after the holiday $49-59 for a 2pack..... my two Dewalt cordless vacs aren’t that good... Moze
Haven't had the opportunity to put it through its paces @Framer joe but it's advertised as having 80 CFM. The Ridgid 6 gallon vac has 62 CFM, the 9 gallon has 70 CFM. This is replacing an older Ridgid 6 gallon vac I had that was plenty powerful. So I would say just based on that it could be categorized as great. I'm tearing out some siding tomorrow and will have a chance to use it. I'll shoot a video. I'm probably going to jump onboard in the next couple of months. I'm giving my PC 18v stuff to a friend, so I'll need another inflator. The glue gun also looks nice. Just about everything else I already have in Yellow, Red, or Orange, though.
Framer joe
I do like Ryobi ...I bought a cordless rigid router to replace my old cordless Ryobi router..then bought the new Ryobi cordless router to replace the rigid router ..the Ryobi has less features but works much smoother and seems like more power, then the cordless rigid... khariV
I wish my depot would get the new vacuums in. For some reason, it seems like it takes forever to get any of the new releases.
Moze
I've been using it for some remodeling clean up and love it. I have zero complaints.
