firefighter4187
I have narrowed it down to the Porter Cable 18 volt and Rockwell 12 volt Sonicrafter. Also will DeWALT comeout with one for the 20v line.
crazyandy
I like Rockwell and have always had great results with them!
DR99
I have narrowed it down to the Porter Cable 18 volt and Rockwell 12 volt Sonicrafter. Also will DeWALT comeout with one for the 20v line.I think Dewalt is supposed to have a media event soon I have no idea what tools they might announce, but lately dewalt is kinda slow releasing tools for the 20 volt max line. I have the Milwaukee m12 multitool the thing I don't like is it does not have a tool less blade change. I would go with the porter cable because you get more tools to chose from with that battery system. Ryobi has a multi tool also and itcan also use the rigid job max heads, also ryobi has a huge line a tools to choose from. The only problem with the ryobi one is its only sold as a bare tool so I don't know how much buying a charger and a battery and tool will end up costing. It seems like its would save a lot of time

The quick change mechanism doesn't get in your way at all either.
firefighter4187
Conductor, what type of oscillating tool do you have?
Conductor562
I have the Milwaukee M12 and a corded Porter Cable
DR99
Yea I still don't get why Dewalt does not have a oscillating multi tool when they have one a really nice one allready made for porter cable. All they need to do is change the battery connector and the color.

DR99
Does the M12 have quick blade change? No the M12 does not have a quick blade change its a great tool except for that omission. It's an older tool oscillating multi tool before the quick blade changes became common.
firefighter4187
I wonder if they are planning to add that to an updated version.
Conductor562
No quick change for the Milwaukee. Come to think of it, the PC is the only one I've ever seen that does have it. Maybe I just haven't paid enough attention though.

Conductor562
Fein makes a great tool, but several of the others are very comparable for a hell of a lot less.
