boko50
I have an old shopmate belt sander, takes 4x21 3/4 inch belts,,being that isn't a common size anymore and finding them local is a joke can I make a 4 x21 work ?… this sander is probably from the 1950's so I was told but runs and works great , it does have some weight to it compared to todays sanders . I really don't use a belt sander much but would like to have it handy in case . I can get the right size online but man the price is up there...I can get 4x21 belts at half or less local that's why my question thanks guy for any help...as an after thought maybe just better to go buy a lower cost sander and forget finding the odd belt size ? wingless
Welcome to the forum. Sorry, but I don't understand the question. The 4x21 belt is standard. How does the 3/4" mentioned factor into the question? It is possible to DIY a belt sander seam. There are many online topics showing how.
