wingless
There is an excellent factory document specifying the correct lubricant for Milwaukee tools. This is linked in my forum reply. http://forum.toolsinaction.com/topic/14322-wingless-milwaukee-0224-1-magnum-38-0-1200rpm-hole-shooter-gear-lubrication/ If DeWALT won't specify the correct lubricant, then find an equivalent Milwaukee tool and use their lubricant. Biggie
As far as I know there is no recommended service hours that a grinders grease should be changed at. I've never done it but with age I'm sure it doesn't hurt to freshen it up. Recently "Ave" took a hilti grinder apart cleaned it up and regreased it. He uses a mobil grease and he says it's maybe not exactly what is spec'd but it should be fine. If it's your first time hearing of "Ave" he's a youtuber that has torn apart hundreds of tools and while he might seem a bit goofy he really is smart and knowledgeable when it comes to tools and mechanical devices. CATERPILLAR
Usually just change it if it's getting old or looks dirty. Try and see what the manufacturer uses . Also dont over fill .
