William050
Does anyone in the know think Makita have any plans to release a new model of the dls714 mitre saw with dual bevel capability in the near future? I want a small lightweight cordless mitre saw for convenience on small jobs over bringing out my bigger mitre saw. A work mate has the small Milwaukee cordless mitre saw and its great for 90% of my work, its dual bevel but the current Makita offering is only single bevel. I could probably get by ok with the single bevel but I would much prefer the dual bevel if there was one coming out in the near future. ToolBane
I wouldn’t expect it terribly soon as the current models are relatively recent releases themselves
Marcv76
I don't have any info other than this picture i found on a Japanese website but this does look promising.
QuasarCZ
It's LS610, I hope this will make its way to Europe. Some info below... More info here: https://kunihamonet.com/blog/makita_ls610d/
William050
Well that’s typical. I bought the dls714 just this morning and then I go and see this tonight, just my luck lol.
Marcv76
Well the DLS714 appears to have a greater crosscut than the LS610. I have the DLS714 and i am still amazed by its power. I have cut through 2" thick walnut slabs with it like they were butter. You can use 7 1/4 blades on it instead of the 7 1/2 for the variety and how cheap they are. You lose a little depth but obviously not much.
ToolBane
I think this new one is a 6.5” blade. Which is still a lot of general utility, really. Their current 6.5” (which is quite new, really) not having a slider is kinda limiting.
