07Sierra
Looking at picking up a new 6.0 and was wondering what kind of difference there is between the 6 and the 5 power wise in high draw tools....Anyone ever notice much difference? Looking to see if I'd notice on the impacts like the mid torque, high torque and maybe the 996 etc... Are they worth the money?
Framer joe
Not much difference. The xr6.0 is good on bigger tools like the 996...I like the weight and size of the 5ah on drills and impacts..for large tools like the sds, vac, compressor, circ saw, I use flexvolt batteries 9ah or 12ah.. JimboS1ice
Like I mentioned in your other thread on batteries, the 6.0 is good for higher demand tools like an angle grinder where your really going to put the tool and battery though hell.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The difference between the 5.0 and 6.0 is upwards of 30A. It's a pretty big difference on high draw 20v tools. (a la angle grinder, circular saw, reciprocating saw) Especially when you hit them at full load ~40A and eventually overheat the 5.0 batteries. Once you start heating the 5.0s the performance gap becomes even larger.
