Hello Everyone,

I purchased this saw early this year and absolutely love it, so far. The only problem I have with it is the un-flatness of the table top. I was building  a box joint sled for it and found that the top is NOT flat! The center is lower that the left and right sides. This presents a lot of problems with the center being lower. It is all relative in its accuracy.

Has anyone else had a new skilsaw spt99-12 with a top that is not flat?

I have a SPT99-11 10" saw and it has the same exact problem. I spent an hour trying to get the insert level before I realized that everything between the two miter slots is lower than the edges outside of the miter slots

If you are still under warranty. You can move this issue to dispute. I assume you are saying that the miter holding the blade has height at different angles. This situation can create a serious problem.
