harleyguy
I have a Dewalt DW 756 bench grinder. I have had it for some time, and wanted to install a wire brush on the left. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to tighten down either wheel, on the left, or the right. The 3/4" nuts at the end of the left wheel, and the right wheel, turn in opposite directions. There is no nut on the inside of the wheel to hold, while tightening the outside nuts. There is a slot on the left end of the arbor, I assume to put a screwdriver in, perhaps this is what you need to do. I have tried this, and just seems like a poor design, since my screw driver keeps slipping out, and I have tried several different sized screwdrivers. Maybe there is a special tool to tighten down the wheels. Thanks
wingless
Welcome to the forum. According to the instructions on page 6 and 7, expose the shaft nuts on both ends of the tool. Hold the opposite end and loosen the desired end.
