dewalt trimmer
Have had the Dewalt 20 v max xr brushless string trimmer for 10 months, works well, just used it for 30 min, then charged battery, cleaned the head etc, restrung it and then placed battery back on and then pulling the throttle the head rotates 1 cm one way the bounces back the other way and stops. battery is full power. no grass in head etc. when pulling throttle, you can hear the head click. Any thoughts?
Kratos
Most likely one of the magnets inside the motor has broken apart. Mine was doing the same thing and that was the problem.
Matdad
Just purchased a DCST922b, and the same thing.... Out of the box for 30min, made it 2 feet in the grass and it quit. Clicking sound in the head, and motor tries to turn about 1cm and stops.... Bummer!

Mick Mac
Same issue with my Dewalt String Trimmer model DCST922. Had it working for a year and only used it 4 times but the head stopped turning. I saw a small whiff of smoke after it stopped. I have blown out the head, changed batteries but still not working. I am very disappointed with this DeWalt tool. They are usually better that this and the tool is not cheap. what are my options?
