Conductor562
Nice. Did you make the bed as well? I'm getting ready to build a kitchen table myself. I've decided on 7'x4'. I want to seat 8 comfortably or 10 in a pinch.

Conductor562
I'm going to do the frame in pine with that primitive black finish the misses likes, with a honey oak top.
ETS7345
Sounds like its gonna be pretty sweet. Mine will be in Walnut with a nice storage cabinet underneath. Kind of like this one. http://www.kitchendesignimages.com/the-benefits-of-buying-a-kitchen-table-set.html
Conductor562
We looked at that table. I liked it, but needed something bigger. I wasn't paying $2500 for a table made in Vietnam when I have thousand of dollars worth of tools and the skills to build my own. Nothing like building your own stuff if you're capable of doing it right.
ETS7345
That's right. If you have the skills to do it why not.

ETS7345
Here's a neat storage system I threw together for bar clamps this evening. ETS7345
Finally got around to getting the table top all glued up. Decided to go with a piece of oak inlaid in the Walnut. http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b562/ethanspeicher/IMG_0680_zps7b0aeccc.jpg

ETS7345
Between working and commuting and hour and a half to college I've been able to get some more work done on the table. The top isn't attached yet. Just wanted to see what it looked like on its base. I still have the raised panel door and shelf to put into the cabinet underneath. Then the real fun starts. Sanding!! http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b562/ethanspeicher/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsd01590e1.jpg
