Makita charger fault.. Or is it?

Ok, i d had my bl1830 for some time, great hole making tool. The other day my battery refused to charge. I also noted there was no red light on my charger. So ive checked the fuse on the charger its good.. So what wrong, knackered battery or charger?

Is it will all batteries or just that battery?  I would check the terminal on the battery.  I had the same issue with a Milwaukee.  I later found out I had a piece of metal wedged between the battery terminals and it was causing some issue.  Once I took it out, the battery charged.
