brasstacks
Hi all I have a Milwaukee 28v right angle drill that I use on a winch to trim sails and haul me up the mast on our sailboat. Lats week the ability for the drill to perform at a variable speed quit on me. Pulling the trigger, it was either full speed or non. It also got stuck at full speed a few times. My question is has anyone familiar with this problem, and if so is it something I could fix or would I need to send it off to Milwaukee. Any input much appreciated. DR99
You could probably buy a new switch and swap it out if you wanted to do that. Being around a moist Environment does take its toll on power tools. I bet its some corrosion on some type of contact in the trigger. The warranty on the tool is 5 years so if your under that time frame you don't have to worry about costs on the repair.
firefighter4187
Yeah Milwaukee is usually pretty good with there warranty! Hopefully you are with in the 5 years!
Conductor562
DR nailed it. Has to be the switch. If the don't warranty it let us know and we'll track down the part and diagrams.Mighty unconventional use of a drill I might add.
