stewharr
Ridgid must have updated the Octane jigsaw after creating the manual, because the button circled in this picture isn't documented, or at least not that I can find. On the Home Depot site there is a picture call out that labels it the Lock On Button, but that clearly is the button at the top of the handle beside the trigger. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I just bought the tool today. Thanks.
stewharr
Found the answer myself. It's the blower / vacuum switch. Helps when you find the correct manual online instead of the one on home depot's site. Wish the manual that came with it was in bigger print for those of us with visual impairments. Eric - TIA
LOL, I hear you on that about bigger print. Sometimes I wondering who is creating this stuff. Good to know about the blower
King DORK
Can’t say that I even noticed that on mine. Now I gotta go look. Lol Bought the jigsaw when it first came out and use it a lot. Definitely liking it.
King DORK
Well I looked at my saw and it does not have this. It is the Octane model, which I picked up right after it was made available. I’m guessing it’s something that was added as a running change.
