felizcortez
I have a ryobi cordless shop vac and the unit will not shut off via the switch. To get it to shut down you have to remove the battery. I pulled the cover and checked the switch with a multimeter and that is operating fine. I unplugged all the wires from the switch and plugged in a battery and the unit still turns on and won't shut off. Has anyone had this issue before? I'm thinking it's a problem with the control board.
ToolBane
I have a Ryobi cordless shop vac but have never had this problem. I definitely think your line of thinking is correct though. If the switch is doing what it’s supposed to it’s hard to think what else besides the control board could be the culprit.
felizcortez
I'm thinking one of the mosfets on the control board is shorted out.
