Mattia
Hi everyone, new here, I have issues with my oscillating multi tool, model is DCS355N-XJ. It's only 3 months old. The issue I have is that when I keep the button pressed at full power, the tool stops working after a few seconds. This happens only when I have an attachment like the sander pad or a cutting blade. If I keep the button pressed without any attachment, the tool runs continuously without any stop. I'm not an expert, I'm quite an inexperienced DIYer, any suggestion? Should I call and send it back on warranty for repair? Or there might be any mistake I make in the way I use it? thanks in advance to whoever will help me Mattia
fm2176
I recommend contacting DeWalt, their warranty service has been excellent in my experience.
wingless
Welcome to the forum. Do the symptoms exist when using a different battery?

I will, I first wanted to make sure there's nothing wrong in the way I use it
Mattia
Thank you! yes, I have 2 batteries, same issue with both. Initially I thought they were discharged, but same happens when fully charged.
FramerJoe
Gotta be the battery or your exerting to much force on it to stall it. Also are you using at least a 5ah on it?
