Delta Table Saw Model 36-979 - Rear Trunnion Adjustment

I have a Delta Table Saw Model 36-979 and I would like to adjust the blade.  I have a couple questions:

  1. I cannot seem to move the rear trunnion enough to the left (looking from behind the saw).  Do I have to "oval-out" these trunnion bracket holes so that it slides further?  I tried the PALS to help with the adjustment, but again..  couldn't get it to move enough as it's about 10K out.
  2. When looking at the trunnion motor support bracket, the motor is straight and aligned with the upper pulley, but the bracket appears to be crooked.  Is this bracket suppose to look like it's misaligned?
