Hadi nikpanah
Hi I have a makita cordless drill with 10.8v 2ah battery and my charger is makita dc10wc 10.8 v. I need to buy battery for my drill, and only 12v 2ah is available in my country. I know that I can use this battery for my drill, but I don't know that this 12v battery can fully charge with my 10.8v charger or not. Can this charger damage my new batteries? ToolBane
CXT chargers and batteries get marketed under different voltages in different parts of the world even though they are the same battery platform. 12V is the voltage at full charge with no load while 10.8V is the nominal, or what the voltage looks like under load across its operating range. As long as both the charger and battery are CXT, they are perfectly compatible.
