CraigsWorld Posted August 13, 2021 Report Share Posted August 13, 2021 Hi there, I just bought a Dewalt DCP580 Hand Planer, watched a few videos in how to use it. Both my son and I are having issues using it, understandably there is a learning curve. Each pass (setting at 0), a gouge in the wood is being left on the right side. I thought that maybe the blades might need adjusting, so I removed and reset as per the manual. Still had the same issue but not as bad for about 6-7 passes... now it is gouging just as bad as before. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Could it be a defective planer... or user (me) error?
