PM222
Hello - my C10FCG miter saw seems to just shy of an exact 45º cut....it is ~0.1º short, both left and right sides. I've gone through all the other tune-ups, and it is perfectly square vertically and horizontally for straight cuts. Any suggestions on how to fine-tune the seemingly fixed detents? https://photos.app.goo.gl/qdEJ5G6KVpoephwL6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/QJ4LpG5iUTegqkUDA https://photos.app.goo.gl/LStKBtcYigoRn38h6

PM222
Pics pasted in the last post (sorry, newbie). One other note: unlike some miter saws, there is no option to unscrew and move the detent plate... see pic below. (not to mention that it is 0.1º short both ways, so turning wouldn't help). wingless
It looks like the slots have tapered sides. The mating detent probably also has tapered sides. Could careful application of a file on the appropriate side(s) of the slots (possibly also on the detent) cause the resting position to shift slightly, with the spring loaded detent sitting higher in the slots? PM222
Yep - that's where I was going to go. Just wondering if I was missing a simpler and less destructive option. Thanks.
PEEBS24
Hi, Different model - same problem! I have the Metabo KGSV 72 Xact SYM - not to be confused with the non SYM model which is a totally different mitre saw. The two fences (left & Right) are not in line with each other and the main LH fence is quite a way off 90 degrees to the saw blade. In the manual (pretty useless) there are 4 bolts labelled "46" but not identified which I think apply. Does anyone know how to adjust these fences to make them in line and square to the saw blade? Many thanks, Peter
