Highdesert Splintermaker
I'd like to see a merger of Hitachi and Makita. Hey! They are almost the same color and to the colorblind a Makita is just a shop worn Hitachi. Kidding aside, I think both companies could benefit. Leave all the cordless tools to the Makita folks and the corded and pneumatics to the Hitachi folks. They could each almost double their individual retail exposure and combine their warranty maintenance and service facilities. More importantly however would be the benefits from shuffling the Engineering & R&D decks to inject a little 'new blood' into both houses. What think you?
