DR99
This antique tool box was too cool not to share on the TIA forums!!! It's pretty amazing the detail in it!! Plus all the old hand tools are pretty cool.http://imgur.com/a/tDWbP
Conductor562
Wow....just beautiful. At one point in history a craftsman's hand made toolbox was like his resume. Thanks for sharing DR!
DR99
Now we all use injection molded plastic, or cheap polyester bags :/ You can't even find metal portable tool boxes anymore except if you want to pay a ton of money. Javier
That's nice. Who over made that box had some serious skill. The horse design is amazing. It was nice seeing all the old hand tools. It's funny because when i first seen the pictures I was thinking, what's so great about this until I seen the interior of the box
DR99
Man I just reminds me how much they accomplished with out power tools and how much we whine if our drill isn't brushless
Conductor562
Woodworking is a skill, but it used to be an art.

regopit
It is a beautiful tool box. I like all of the hand plains now you just pop in a bit in your router and off you go
ChrisK
DR, that is absolutely beautiful. The drawings bring me back to my architectural drafting training. While in HS I took two years of drafting, before CAD. We hand drew everything and the letter boxes bring back some old memories. The boxes are absolutely beautiful and that horse has a really cool Americana style to it. I wish I had the knowledge to pass on about the tools but suffice to say, I don't. Good for you DR! threeve
Wow, that is fantastic. Definitely makes you feel like something has been lost as we move more and more toward power tools and getting jobs done faster and cheaper. That inlay is incredible. Brien
They say that back in the day "it was simpler times". Nothing about that looks simple! Beautiful!
